The sky was bright blue that day, the air was chilled and crisp, a lot of sunshine to light the way and make the colors pop but also the right amount of coolness in the air to keep us from burning up. I gotta tell you, Joshua Tree National Park is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen.
I spent a bit of time traveling to New York and Los Angeles recently, mostly for work to shoot a campaign for FHONE, which was super, I can't wait to show you guys more about that experience! During my time in LA I did a fun collaboration with Marianna Hewitt, a beauty and lifestyle blogger.
During the second half of my trip to Colombia, the Journey group and I headed to a nearby island called Tierra Bomba, this is called the integration part of the Journey where we get to relax, reflect and get to know one another on a deeper level. We also got to explore the island, take part in fun activities and sip Cartagena Mules by the pool, this was our drink of choice, it fell from the heavens and tasted like magic!
We arrived in Colombia on a Friday afternoon, the evening was spent pretty freely, getting to know the fellow Journeyers and later we enjoyed a lovely welcome dinner. The feeling of anticipation was present the whole evening, some of us had a hard time falling asleep that night, not fully knowing what the next two days would bring
Steve and I are getting married next fall! If you would like to see our proposal video click here, he did an amazing job, hehe. We are so very excited about this new chapter in our lives, and up until recently the wedding planning has consisted mostly of logistics like finding the perfect venue and an amazing wedding planner etc. I think this has been the funnest part of the planning process to date, asking five of my amazing friends to be part of our wedding party!
I didn't always love reading, but now I can't imagine a life without the lovely words on a page. I really enjoy losing myself in a good book, learning new things and seeing things in a different perspective. I want to share with you five awesome books I've read recently!
